Our youngest daughter, Mary, got her kindergarten physical today. I actually gave her shots to her! She cried, of course, but Ethan cried just as hard! I always say Mary and Ethan have a "love/hate" relationship, but he couldn't handle seeing her get hurt. It made me feel good to know that although they argue sometimes/alot, they are each other's best friend. He told Mary at dinnertime, "I was worried about you." When they are playing together, the best thing is to be around the corner and hear them talk when they think no one is listening. Ethan really makes Mary laugh! I love my "little guy", my "baby" (he emphatically does NOT like me to call him this)and am so grateful that Jesus gave him such a tender and loving heart.

Hurting for Haiti
Our world has been through so many natural disasters and events, but none have affected me as much as the Haiti earthquake. My passion in the workplace is pediatrics, and seeing all of the abandoned and injured children has just broken my heart. God has really laid on my heart that I need to do more than pray, I need to physically help. If not in Haiti, then here! Last night at church he discussed the needs for Haiti and reminded us that we also need to think and pray for the relief workers. Imagine what they are seeing right now!

Weekend Bliss!
I have grown to love Saturday! Sleeping in, listening to the kids downstairs (my wonderful husband always gets up with them), and relaxing! To those who know me well, you know I love to clean! But..I'm changing my ways as I'm getting older (probably much to James's dismay). My goal this weekend is to update my blog and finally get pictures on it. hmmmm, did anyone hear the word laundry in that goal? Nope!

Let It Snow!
My husband and I had a great trip at the mountains this weekend and saw some gorgeous snow coming down in Asheville! I was sick most of the trip with some weird 24 hr nausea thing, but still enjoyed the view. We had a great time laughing with our close friends, Tom and Lenie. There is something so relaxing about snow coming down, isn't there? Especially for us Southerners! Isn't God wonderful to create something so beautiful!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!
My kids were so disappointed this morning when there was no snow! Even though I warned them, I remember being so upset when I was little and discovered that I wasn't getting out of school for the day. Hey, they got a 2-hour delay! This weekend my husband and I are going to the mountains for our annual "camperowners" meeting-it's always so nice to reconnect with your spouse, and going to God's country is the best way to do it!

The New WII Year
Santa surprised the kids this year with a new WII. Little did I know how much fun it is! I love to do the WII sports, especially golf! (I don't golf in real life) I am debating on whether or not to get the WII fitness, but I don't know, it IS exercise! Mary loves to play "littlest pet shop", but after accessorizing a gadzillion animals, I get really bored with that one! It is nice to have the family playing something together while it is so cold outside! Happy Monday!
